Kaweah Falls originally designed in 1942 by architect Frank Robert, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The home is located in the center of Three Rivers, California, near the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Three Rivers is a nature lovers paradise with plenty of wildlife sightings runs and opportunities to hike, bike, fish, bird watch, and swim; and during the summer months, world-class white-water rafting and kayaking.

With the arrival of the second homeowners came a few design changes to absorb more of the outdoors by adding a addition to the home that floats over the river bank. The 3000 sq foot area includes 4 private bedrooms, each with it’s own en suite bathroom and river views from every room, 2 kitchens, a dining room with a glass floor view of the river, detached 2 car garage with an office, and a series of private terraces and a terrace with stunning river views.
During the extensive four-year renovation, organic materials such as bamboo, slate and river rock were chosen to compliment the mid-century roots. The modern rustic home was furnished with vintage and contemporary pieces with accents found from travels throughout the Pacific and Southeast Asia.
The Kaweah Falls residence has been featured in in SUNSET magazine, WALL STREET JOURNAL, the NEW YORK TIMES, and THE WEEK magazine and a finalist in Dwell magazine’s 2010 ‘Houses We Love’ competition, the home bridges a regulated water flume leading to a private sandy beach and a year-round active waterfall.
