Lighting the way

While most home owners are trying to spend less on their light bill by allowing natural light in, home owner Daisuke Tokuyama  and architect  Makoto Tanijiri opted for an unconventional solution to accomplish his “light filled home’. This answer came in the form of polycarbonate plastic, usually used in the production of phones, CDs, Electrical/Electronic Applications, Medical/Healthcare Applications, Sporting Goods and Appliances.

When many people think of Polycarbonate materials they think of water bottles. Now you may be asking yourself what do water bottles and his home have in common. Well, let’s see flexibility, just enough that it hugs to the steel structure. Strength, as in it is durability and transparency.

Located in the center on three other buildings this once hidden location lights the way.
