Brazilian Leaf House located outside of Rio de Janeiro just beyond the shore line at one of Angra’s dos Reis beautiful beaches rests an immaculate house designed by Mareines + Patalano. The eco-friendly design was inspired by Brazil’s Indian architecture, perfectly suited for the hot and humid climate. The open design takes advantage of trade winds that blow in from the sea, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling. The giant tropical banana leaf appearance allows for the home to harvest rainwater.
