How do you show that you care about the environment and do you think it is enough? In design it is all about striking the perfect balance with nature; being creative in our designs to minimize ecological footprints. To create designs that mutually benefit the client, the public, and the environment.

In other words, the design should be Sustainable. The most accepted worldwide definition of sustainable development is “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” (Brundtland Commission, 1987). Hence, the popularity of green roofs.

Since last we explained what exactly constitutes as a Vegetative/Green Roof and today we will discuss the benefits of vegetative/green roofs.
